The rear-end collision resulted in one bike veering off and hitting a parked car while the other was knocked down and slid past MacKay Street, finally stopping at Francis Street. The other two motorcyclists raced off, according to police. The crash victims, described by police as being in their mid to late teens, were taken to hospital in stable condition. Police reported that speed was believed to have been a factor in the crash and Highway Traffic Act or Criminal Code charges were a possibility. Eastbound lanes of Victoria Avenue from Arcola Avenue to Francis Street were blocked off for roughly an hour after the collision while police investigated. © The Leader-Post (Regina) 2007 Related Articles:WinterizingMotorcycle wasn't cause of death BSB: Rizla Suzuki Ready To Roll For Season Opener A Day in the Life of a Motorcycle Cop SGI tunes strategy to promote motorcycle safety Province proclaims motorcycle safety week Around the world on motorcycle |
