SGI Rate Proposal Print E-mail
Monday, 05 February 2007

SGI has proposed a change to the current vehicle insurance/registration rates here in Saskatchewan For motorcyclists, we can expect an increase across the board if this proposal is ratified.

SGI also plans to vary insurance premiums according to the style of motorcycle. So if you have a sportbike, you can expect a larger increase in premiums than if you ride a touring bike or cruiser. SGI has never taken into account the type of motorcycle before - they have always gone by engine size and year - so this should be viewed as a more fair approach.

The motorcycle specific rate information starts at the end of page 37. View the proposal in PDF form here.
