All is not well at Yamaha after the team failed to overcome constant vibration problems at Jerez. Riders Valentino Rossi and Colin Edwards were hopeful of finding a solution with Michelin to repair the rear chattering, but like Honda, the compounds on offer made little difference. ![]() "I was confident that we could find some big improvements but honestly that hasn't happened and now I am quite worried," Rossi said. "The vibration has remained and at the moment we don't know how to solve it and we are still slow. "This was the last test and throughout the whole pre-season period we've always been fast and the bike has felt good, but this test has been completely different," he added. "At the moment I am not sure what will happen in the race, we'll have to wait and see." Unfortunately for Yamaha, whilst they and Honda struggled with performance, rivals Bridgestone were flying high with both Ducati and Kawasaki setting a record pace. For Edwards, the situation was difficult to accept.
"To be honest our pace isn't bad but it's certainly not a winning pace, which is frustrating when we saw in Barcelona last weekend how great our package is when it's all working!
