2StrokeColdSmoke's 1979 Yamaha RD400

Here is SMA member 2StrokeColdSmoke's ride. A 1979 Yamaha RD400. I don't know about you but I love the look of this ride. He posted it in the showroom a while back and I thought it deserved a more prominent position in the site so more could appreciate this ride. The new bikes are all nice and everything but there is something to be said about a guy that's keeping the old stuff alive and looking well.

2StrokeColdSmoke is one of the active members representing Saskatoon on SMA.  He has been a member of SMA virtually from the beginning and kudos to him on a nice ride and a nice guy...

From the Forum:

2StrokeColdSmoke: Here it is the day before my roommate trashed it. it started out white and very poorly painted. So I painted it up (now it’s just kinda poorly painted) removed some of the stuff I didn’t want and moved some stuff around. I don’t ride it for the look that’s for sure.

I didn't think it looks so bad and I really liked the tail so I said: Where did you get the seat/rear cowl done? It's custom right?

2StrokeColdSmoke: I did it all myself, just a couple of brackets, and relocate some wires. some other mild stuff. Here’s what it used to look like, minus the ugly fairing.  It’s weighted kinda oddly, so it does wheelies like nobody’s business. That’s fun.
