Rodrigo Nunes has been on a long journey. He's actually been on the road now for over five months and logged over 30000 kilometers!
He's riding to raise awareness on the poverty and living conditions currently in Brazil. His costs are being sponsored by Businesses across the Western world.
He arrived in Regina on April 2, 2008, stayed overnight here in the Queen City and left the next morning amidst a crowd of well wishers and supporters.
His website is here but it is in Portuguese so use BabelFish to translate. However, there are many videos and images of his amazing journey on his website that need no translation as they capture his experience as words simply can't.
He left from Roque, São Paulo - Brazil (South America) on October 22nd, 2007 and is hoping to return home by May.

There is cold, and there is cold on a
motorcycle. Cold on a motorcycle is like being beaten with cold hammers
while being kicked with cold boots, a bone bruising cold. The wind's
big hands squeeze the heat out of my body and whisk it away; caught in
a cold October rain, the drops don't even feel like water. They feel
like shards of bone fallen from the skies of Hell to pock my face. I
expect to arrive with my cheeks and forehead streaked with blood, but
that's just an illusion, just the misery of nerves not designed for
highway speeds.
Despite this, it's hard to give up my motorcycle
in the fall and I rush to get it on the road again in the spring;
lapses of sanity like this are common among motorcyclists. When you let
a motorcycle into your life you're changed forever. The letters "M" are
stamped on your driver's license right next to your sex and weight as
if "motorcycle" was just another of your physical characteristics, or
maybe a mental condition.

Fast Wheels in Regina will no longer be servicing motorcycles as of Sept 1st 2007. We will be concentrating on building custom motorcycles and hot rods and would like to say thanks to all of our customers for there support in the past.

FL, FX, FST, what do they mean? Heres a full list of Harley model numbers and their explanation.
The first letter of the model designator reveals the engine series:
First character:
G - Servicar three wheeler, 1932 to 1972
E - Overhead valve 61 cubic inch "big twin" (Engine/trans separated)
F - Overhead valve 74 or 80 cubic inch "big twin"
K - Side valve 45 and 55 cubic inch sports bike that replaced the WL in 1953 and was replaced by the sportster in 1957. It had many design features that were carried over to the Sportster.
U - Side valve 74 or 80 cubic inch "big twin"
V - Side valve 74 cubic inch made prior to 1936
W - Side valve 45 cubic inch made 1934 to 1952
X - Sports and special construction. Applied to 1918-1922 opposed twin Sport, 1944 military opposed twin, and 1957 to present Sportster.
There were others, such as the J series (a very nice looking bike that was about the hottest thing around in the 20's) but you're not likely to see them in daily use anymore.
