Where can you find a dyno in Saskatchewan? Print E-mail
Friday, 09 March 2007
If you are wondering what kind of power your motorcycle is putting out and/or want to fine tune your machine to get the most out of it, there is one place in Saskatchewan that has a dynomometer (dyno) full time.

Sure you can wait for the various dealers around the province that rent one and bring it to a special event and whatnot, but it you can't wait, go to Redline Harley Davidson Buell in Saskatoon.

Here is the information on their dyno found on their website:

Through the use of state-of-the-art computer technology, Dynojet's MODEL 200 Dynamometer allows you to quickly and accurately diagnose performance problems.

By simulating the best "seat-of-the-pant" road testing right in the shop, problems are easily diagnosed in a fraction of the time.

Shop sales, service work, and credibility all benefit with a Dynojet Chassis Dynamometer.

We are proud to be the only dealership in Saskatchewan that is a Dyno Run participant!

Contact us and we can arrange to have quotes sent to you.

How a motorcycle carburetor works Print E-mail

In this article, we'll look at how a carburetor works. Since spring is around the corner and many riders will find themselves with fuel flow problems from the long winter "parK" - having a more in-depth understanding of the basics of carb design and function will likely make it far easier to get them set up correctly.

The basic secret of carb function is that inside each carb are thousands of tiny gnomes; each with a small bucket. As you open the throttle, more of these gnomes are allowed out of their house and into the float bowl, where they fill the buckets and climb up the carb's passages to the intake, where they empty their buckets into the air stream.

How to Improve the Ride and Suspension Performance of Cruiser Motorcycles Print E-mail
Monday, 29 May 2006
Is it possible to make a heavyweight cruiser's suspension genuinely good? Using a Honda VTX1800C and some suspension science, we search for a smoother ride and better suspension control. From the August 2005 issue of Motorcycle Cruiser magazine. By Marc Cook.

When you bought that cruiser, you knew you wanted a motorcycle that was long and low—not only for the stylish profile, but for the luxurious, comfortable-looking style that goes with it. You're obviously not the only cruiser buyer who feels that way, and the manufacturers have paid attention.

It's that time of year again. To get that bike and yourself ready for the upcoming season!!!

Whether this your 1st year or 20th year getting that ride ready for the upcoming season, it's still a good idea to have a list of reference to ensure that this year is a safe and mechanically sound one.

The time you spend nursing that baby back to health is well worth it. Since we live in seasonal weather conditions, storage can take it's toll on your machine if you don't take the necessary precautions.

So here is the BIG list of things to do and remember before you fire that baby up and get out on the road. All the best and may this year be a healthy and safe one!
