Women in the Wind
Sponsors - Women in the Wind
Monday, 07 April 2008
Women in the Wind is an international association of over 800 female motorcycle riders. We are women who have developed a passion for riding motorcycles at some point in our lives. ‘Bridge City Thunder’ was started in 2004 and is one of five WITW chapters in Western Canada.

One of the greatest benefits of being a WITW member is the friendship and support of other female riders. We also focus on education in motorcycle safety and maintenance as well as promoting a positive image to the public of women on motorcycles.

We always welcome new members and encourage women to join us for a meeting or a ride.

Click here for more information or to contact Bridge City Thunder.

Rider Passes Through Regina on His Epic Journey
Articles - General Motorcycle
Friday, 04 April 2008
Rodrigo Nunes has been on a long journey. He's actually been on the road now for over five months and logged over 30000 kilometers!

He's riding to raise awareness on the poverty and living conditions currently in Brazil. His costs are being sponsored by Businesses across the Western world.

He arrived in Regina on April 2, 2008, stayed overnight here in the Queen City and left the next morning amidst a crowd of well wishers and supporters.

His website is here but it is in Portuguese so use BabelFish to translate. However, there are many videos and images of his amazing journey on his website that need no translation as they capture his experience as words simply can't.

He left from Roque, São Paulo - Brazil (South America) on October 22nd, 2007 and is hoping to return home by May.

SMA destroys IE7
Newsflashes - Newsflash
Thursday, 27 March 2008
We have been receiving reports of Internet Explorer crashing upon visiting SMA.  This problem seems to be specific to those users who use the new IE7.  We're looking into the problem and hoping to find a fix soon.  In the meantime, feel free take this opportunity to make the switch to Firefox or Opera - both free, and both superior to IE ;)

UPDATE: A few users have now responded that they are experiencing this problem with a few other sites besides SMA.  From what we can gather, it seems Internet Explorer 7 has a problem with one of it's add-ons that are causing the error.  If anyone finds out which one it is, please let us know here.

No more dodging traffic fines in Saskatchewan
Articles - Safety and Insurance
Thursday, 14 February 2008

REGINA, Sask. -- The province of Saskatchewan has reached a deal with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) to withhold income tax refunds and GST rebates from drivers who have unpaid traffic fines in the province.

The partnership takes effect this tax season and applies to all fines laid under provincial statutes that are payable to the province. CRA will garnish the returns for any outstanding fines under the deal, the province has announced.

Saskatchewan has also established a new Fine Collection branch to get tough on drivers who don't pay their traffic fines.
