I know in BC and some other places if you have a scooter that is less than 50cc, you don't need anything other than a class 5 license. No one around here seems to know what we need in Sask. SGI's site is no help, and I get different answers every time I ask someone. Can anyone help?

From page 59 in the Motorcycle Driver's Handbook:

QUOTE:
Any gas powered cycles, electric cycles larger than 500 watts
or without pedals are considered motorcycles and all
motorcycle requirements apply.

So, yes, you need a motorcycle license (learner's minimum) to legally ride a gas powered scooter.
