I've met the guy a number of times. Seems like a good dude. Hyosung's are actually a really light bike, I've talked to a few guys who bought one and love them.

Haven't made a purchase personally, but word is he's ok.

Re:Motorcycle warehouse 9 Months ago
Thanks Kevin, that's appreciated.
I am more looking at his v star 650s actually. The Hyosung has awesome Hp, but that V rod look is just not my cup o beer.

Funny thing, since the wife has decided she will ride with me the funds have loosened up allowing for a newer bike
From what I have been reading the 650 will be perfect for my middle-aged needs. There does seem to be a fair amount of brand new 07 honda 750 C2s for $6500- $6700 + taxes.
Kinda makes buying used a tough call with 98-03s going for 6000 +.

I was talking to Proline about a 03 1100 vstar (too big but...)an 03 was 8800 with an 08 at 9600.
He said "the 03 has options" Must be tough to be a used bike dealer with prices on bikes fluctuating like mad hey?

With the online/US market - most - if not all - dealers are struggling in all areas of their business except perhaps service.

And I hear you on the wife thing - it's much easier to justify spending the bucks when she rides too

Good thing for sales of sleds and ATVS I guess. Those bike dealers in Ontario got shafted when the manufacturers pulled thier bikes from the multi-bike dealers.

Slow day today

This guy has been around for awhile. He used to be in Pilot Butte. As far as a 650 vr 1100 it depends on your riding plans and skill. My daughter, who at the time was only 16 and 5'4 was allowed by an aquanace to ride his new v-star 1100 She said it handled nicer and easier then her xs400 did. Also resale is better on the 1100 as the 650 is small for the highway and riding double. Test ride both if possible and good luck.

Damn Joomla.

I rarely am able to post a decent sized post without it logging me out.

Thank you for the reply Traveller.

650 will be more than enough for me and my wife to 2-up in any case. http://forums.delphiforums.com/sgmfa/start
Resale is the same percentages for the 1100 and 650 and 250.
Would love an 1100 or 1300 but can't make myself pay that kind of money for a bike that will mostly be ridden in town.
Won't go into debt for a toy, way to cheap for that.

Re:Motorcycle warehouse 9 Months ago
That looks too blunt, sorry.

I have done a lot of research on bikes in the last ummm 10 years since I have parked my crashed wreck in the garage.
They have been de-tuning the silly things.

I have had a lot of replies saying "650? get the 1100/1300 etc." I am happy with my package, no external symbols are needed ROFL. j/t
While my machismo side tells me I need a larger bike, my realistic side says I will ride what I buy for a long time to come and most likely be very satisfied with it.
I put up with a long box F150 extended cab with a 302 for 8 years, do I really need to say more?
