Hey Kevin<br /><br />Just noticed you were online at the same time as me.&nbsp; I know that some other bike sites have an online chat room that gives members the ability to discuss things easier than using the message forums.&nbsp; Any thoughts on enabling this?

In fact, we have been looking into this for a while now while we were in development of SaskStreet and also on SaskSport.<br /><br />We do plan to implement this sometime in the future but right now, we are looking at the options available.&nbsp; We would like to build one that allows members to automatically logon using their SMA username.&nbsp; So, you would log onto SMA and when you click the chat link, you&#039;;re logged into chat automatically.<br /><br />It would definitely be a good thing, especially once we get a few more members.&nbsp; It would be awesome to see someone online and just click chat and talk to them in real time for sure...

Yup - on some sites they even do planned chats for topics like &quot;changing tires&quot;, or &quot;setting valve clearances&quot;.&nbsp; They book a time, post a link in the message forums and then at the appointed time, they start the discussion.&nbsp; You get some good feedback and new viewpoints on how to do things this way.

good suggestion james! As Kevin said, we have been looking into the chat idea, but just want to ensure that we have the best chat program possible for ease of use, functionality and bandwidth issues.

Well, a few of us testing it this morning and it seems to be working rather well...so it is now available for all members. <br /><br />Click on the &quot;Chat&quot; button and you should be taken to the chatroom and logged in automatically with your SMA username (with _SMA appended to the end of your name).&nbsp; Please refer to the Chat FAQ&#039;s in the FAQ section in the next few days for further info.<br /><br />At this point, I believe there could be the possibly of a members firewall preventing them from logging in to the integrated chatroom. If you experience any problems connecting, please PM admin and let us know what you experienced so that we can narrow down the problem and post any remedies.<br /><br />If you do experience problems connecting, you can click here and that may allow you to connect as a guest.<br /><br />Enjoy...<br /><br />
