Thunder City comes through again 1 Year, 6 Months ago
I need to give props to Thunder City as they went over and above once again.

I bought a Vega Modular helmet from them last spring. After about 2 weeks of riding this year, the wire mechanism that opens (and locks) the face broke so i was unable to use it as a modular. Not only that, but the fit of the helmet made it difficult to slip the helmet on without the face being up.

So, I talked to TC about it, and they said they would talk to their Motovan rep and try to get the part. They did mention that Vega is a discontinued helmet line (VOX bought them out last year) and it might be difficult but they'd try to locate the part and cover it under warranty.

Kelly from parts worked on it for a couple weeks and the Motovan rep was unable to locate a replacement part for it.

I went down there on Monday night to pick up some other stuff and I asked Kelly if they were having any luck and he said not yet. I asked him whether he thought I might be able to get some sort of credit towards a new helmet since the parts seem unavailable to fix mine. He spoke with Al, and long story short, I walked out of there Monday with a brand new VOX modular helmet with no more money out of pocket. They took it upon themselves to make sure I was taken care of on the spot and said "We'll fight it out with Motovan".

Ever since TC opened up shop in Regina, I have always looked there first for anything I need - and time and time again, they go over and above any other dealership I've ever dealt with.

So I just thought I'd mention it - Thunder City has once again shown me that my business is important to them and more importantly, that they make sure that I'm a happy and satisfied customer every time I walk out of there.

Post edited by: Kevin, at: 2007/05/09 07:38

I agree with TC being a great shop. I had 2 new tires spooned on last year, and they explained to me all the different kinds of tires, and why there wasnt much sense in buying certain kinds of tires. and left the choice up to me. Alsport on the other hand, did exacally the oposite, and picked out a tire for me, said this is good, you wouldnt want a more expensive tire on a bike like that, while still costing more.

Needless to say i went with TC, droped the bike off in the morning, when i picked it up after work, the mechanic showed me that he adjusted the brakes, did a slight adjustment to the carbs, and tried to figure out why my highbeam wont turn on. All for free. Thunder City will always get my buisness with service like this.
