New products, at least new to me 1 Year, 8 Months ago

I was watching two wheel tuesday on the speed channel last night and I saw them advertising "Doc Baily's leather black" . The show (I think it was Corbin's Ride On) had a feature/infomercial on this product. Has anyone used this stuff or seen it around? It is suppose to originate in Canada. Also I bought an octane booster called Liquid Horse Power when I was in Sturgis this year. I think it gave my bike more giddyup but it is hard to tell because twisting the throttle and measuring with the grin meter can hardly be called scientific. Anyone else try this stuff or see it around?

Doc Bailey's leather black is sitting on the parts counter at Thunder City. I've tried it on one of my seats and liked the results. They had small sample packs - enough for a single seat - so you could test yourself. If I remember right, the sample packs were selling for a buck.

A few years back (ok, more than a few) I was in charge of a dynometer and test facility at Kaiser Resources in BC where I spent 4 months testing fuel additives on diesel engines. Most products did absolutely nothing, some even caused the engine to preform worse. I know that things change and I know this is a gas engine, but I'd be somewhat wary of anything that a marketing division hypes as a "wonder product". The only way I could see getting any benefit out of this would be if you had really poor gas - well below the stated regular octane - and this helped you raise it enough to avoid knock. Just an FYI, higher octane gas produces less "bang" or power.
