The Saskatchewan Auto Dealer Association would like to welcome you to the first ever Saskatchewan Auto Show.<br /><br />The Auto Show will be held at the Credit Union EventPlex, Regina Exhibition Park, from April 21-23 and will be your chance to see the latest innovations from the world&#039;s top automobile manufacturers and view vehicles that have never been seen in the province before.<br /><br />[hr]<br /><br />Attraction 1:<br /><br />Our Celebrity Guest is BOYD CODDINGTON<br /><br />You don’t have to be a Hot Rodder to know Boyd Coddington’s work. From Hot Wheels and Franklin Mint cars to celebrity rides – he crafted “CadZZilla” for ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons and a 1934 Ford coupe for Van Halen’s Michael Anthony --- Boyd’s legendary designs are as mainstream as they are creative.<br /><br />He has won 7 awards for America’s most Beautiful Roadster and now has a 50,000 square foot garage that boast 70 employees, a hit show on Discovery Channel - watched by 7 million viewers - and will be at the 2006 Saskatchewan Auto Show. <br /><br />--------------------------------------------------------------------------------<br />Attraction 2:<br /><br />DuPont Canada will be providing Jeff Gordon&#039;s Nascar #24 car at the Auto Show.<br /><br />--------------------------------------------------------------------------------<br />Attraction 3: <br /><br />Queen City Motorsports Association (www.qcma.org) will be at the Auto Show!<br /><br />Queen City Motorsports Association is an enthusiastic group of dedicated aficionados that organize and compete in grassroots motorsport events all year round. QCMA primarily runs rally cross, TSD rallies, ice dices, and Solo II pavement slaloms (autocross), all of which are properly sanctioned and insured.<br /><br />Please enjoy the demonstrations taking place outside at the Auto Show. “Ride-alongs” will be offered in any of the member cars in the demonstration for a small donation, with the proceeds donated to Camp Easter Seal.<br /><br />--------------------------------------------------------------------------------<br />Attraction 4: <br /><br />Regina Fastraxx will give you the opportunity to race high-end remote control cars.<br /><br />This nonprofit organization was founded by a small group of people that wanted a fun place to run their R/C cars. Yes it does sound pretty cool, and definately worth checking out.&nbsp; It is also the same weekend as the bike show at the Turvey center, so I think that will be a great weekend, but also very busy.

When I first heard about this show they were talking about trying to get Jesse James, and/or Chip Foose to come for the show. Now either of those guys I would have been excited to see or meet. However I could really care less if I got to see or meet Boyd at the show&nbsp; :dunno: . I just want to go and see the cars. They are supposed to have some of the new cars and prototypes as well as a few exotics&nbsp; :drool:.

Coddington owns the shop &quot;Hotrods by Boyd&quot;. His show on Discovery is American Hot Rod. Most of his machines are all cookie cutter styles with different paint on them. When some of the guys on the show try to do something original he gives them shit because &quot;that is not what they do&quot;. <br /><br />If you know any of the guys that work for Foose, such as Charlie (the painter) he used to work for Boyd. <br /><br />Coddington and Foose used to be partners in a the hotrod building business. But Coddington ran the business into the ground, and ended up bankrupting it. Foose bought it out, and brought it back to life. When they split several of the employees followed Foose. Coddington then started his new business, and built it back up, but has a hatred for Foose. I am sure if you do a bit of searching on the net you can find a lot of info about it. But basically from what I know/have read about Boyd and what I have seen of him on his show, I have very little respect for the man. Even though he has built a very impressive business and name for himself.
