virago, im not sure if youre the one to ask, but it cant hurt, any idea why you cant get your full licence from taking an msf course and passing? it seems to be the way everywhere is going now, except for sask.

It's a good question why you can not. SGI regulates the licnesing program for all drivers in Sask and I have never heard any talk of them relinquishing authority for motorcycle or any other license to another organization.

You can take your M through the Safety Council. Typically the on-road test takes place a week or two after the course. This gives a person time to ride on the street.

We do the MOS Test, which is the test that most MSF organizations use and I feel that as a final exam for a course it is fine, but as a road test for someone wanting to ride a bike on the street, it lacks a lot of important components, such as lane positioning, defensive driving, entering/leaving traffic and signalling.
