my buddys' got one. an 04 I think so I had to send him that pic too. It's his first bike. ;Dwho the hell buys a vmax for their first bike??

A friend of mine actually got a VMax as his first bike. No real issues, but then, he's a really BIG guy. Couple of comments from my and his experience riding on the VMax. Bike goes great for a cruiser - the vboost is definetly noticeable. Definite thumbs up for the power.

The bads....
Gas filler under the seat is a pain and trust me on this, you will spill gas sooner or later.
Range is limited for a cruiser. Expect to fill up every 2 hrs - but that's okay, you'll need to stop - see the next item.
Seat is not great. We did a trip to Sturgis with it one year 900km each way - and you will hurt at the end of the day.
The handling in corners is not great, even by cruiser standards.

If your intention is to have a 'hooligan' style bike for riding around town, its not a bad choice - been around for years and lots of parts are available including turbo and nitrous kits

If your intention is to ride - 2-4 hour trips on the weekends and a couple of 2 hour trips in the evenings, then this bike is not going to be that comfortable and you might want to consider other options.

My 2 cents...
