You don&#039;t have to get into specifics if you don&#039;t want to, but I was just curious what people do for a living....<br /><br />I am a programmer analyst with SaskTel.&nbsp; Been there for about a year and a half.<br /><br />Before that, I did deliveries/courier pretty much since high school.&nbsp; Did some short term jobs like scaffolding, built grain bins, drove tow truck, drove 5 ton truck, a mechanic, and a waiter back in the day.<br /><br />My very first job was with McDonald&#039;s...I would imagine most peoples were...

I drive a concrete mixer.&nbsp; I used to drive a tow truck too, was a heavy equip. operator and, yes, I too started at Mcdonalds.&nbsp; I also raise and show dogs.

i work for ASL paving as an equipment operator. i rebuilt air compressor motors for air brake systems at air king remanafacturing for like a year <br />was a bartender at the squire hotel in fort qu&#039;applle and befor that i work construction. was also a mechanics helper at the mechanix&#039;s shop<br />i have had lots of jobs and done lots of diffent things. i was dumb and droped out of shcool :wallbash: ( thats why the spelling is bad) so i try to get as much expiriance in things as i can.

hey Struebs, were you working on Rochdale?&nbsp; We poured a bunch of concrete for you guys down there.&nbsp; I can relate to the school thing.&nbsp; Before I went to school I couldn&#039;t even spell trock dryvrr and now I are one ;D

first job was at home hardware, took welding in skool, liked it, and it&#039;s now been over 5 years.&nbsp; moved around between a few companies, but have a pretty solid (at least i like to think) job now.&nbsp;

I work at SaskTel&nbsp; as an Internet Service Tech, basically I support dumb people. <br />Been with the company for just over 7 years now. <br /><br />Heather is a Project Manager with Sasktel and just got her 10 year pin about a month ago. Woo Hoo, we finally get a benefit. (half price off basic phone service, which works out to be about 12 bucks!!) Oh well, at least it&#039;s something. <br /><br />3 more years and I&#039;ll have my 10 yrs then we&#039;ll have free basic phone service. ( a hole $30.00 a month) unksmilie:

Nothing like talking to incompetent people all day long and then having them tell you that the internet must be down because they can&#039;t surf. <br />Yes, sir the internet is down!!! EXACTLY!!!!&nbsp; Oh well, the one thing this job does really well is that it makes you feel SMART.&nbsp; You go home at the end of the day wondering how some of these people continue to breath without someone holding their hands.&nbsp; :helpsmilie:

haha...I&#039;ve been blessed enough to not have to deal with the general public. I have done it in other jobs and man...some people are friggin retards...<br /><br />Kudos to you for putting up with idiots for the last seven years...as for me...I&#039;d have killed something by now...

OH God, I would have shot myself by now if I&#039;d been doing this job for seven years. <br />I was a Trunking and Switching Tech in Stoon (DMS/Switch programming and what not) for most of my time with the company, I just took this position to get me to Regina. Once Heather finished her MBA and PMP courses we pretty much had to move here in order for her to advance. Head office is here and there&#039;s a ton of jobs. Sure enough, within a year of us getting here she has a job she loves. Now I just gotta get back to something I don&#039;t hate doing. Oh well, there are a lot worse places to work so I try not to bitch too much.&nbsp;
