Just wondering if anyone would be interested in &quot;mini-chat&quot; (AKA a Shout Box on other sites). It would be on the right hand panel, and what it would do is allow you to enter in a short &quot;post&quot;, hit enter and it would instantly be there for all to see.<br /><br />It&#039;s not true chat in that it needs to be refreshed for you to see the new &quot;posts&quot; but there is a refresh button that allows you to do that.<br /><br />I just thought that since the current chat system doesn&#039;t see much use that this may be something that people might have an interest in.<br /><br />Let me know your thoughts, as you can see from the attached pic, it&#039;s almost ready to roll, just need to complete the look of it...

BTW, it also only archives the last 100 posts so it&#039;s not like the forum where what you say is there for quite a while, more of just a chat thing...<br /><br />It also has the ability to let visitors use it, which may be interesting to hear from someone who may not want to join the site (since they&#039;re from the states or something) but still wants to say hey...

It could be, if there seems to be some support for it...we once had a chatroom on SMA but it was never used - this might be used more often though...<br /><br />What do others think?
