No speedo before and now..... 3 Years, 2 Months ago
no tach.

A few months back when I put on my fancy 4 into 1 Vance & Hines exhaust...I was crusing home listening to the fine sing of the new pipes, look down and I'm doin 120 in a 50. So I figure, better slow down...

A few minutes later, look down, no speedo.

Then Last night, me and OleManZ went for a rip out to Pilot Butte and back and on my way home, I look down, no tach now. So, I guess I'll have to fix one or the other here so I at least have some clue how fast I'm goin...

I was planning to wait though for my little redeisn project on this bike...I was going to take out the stock "dash" and through an aftermarker mini speedo and tach on there...And then I was going to do something similar to this: (let me know what you think)

Dakota digital makes some great components. Give them a look at http://www.dakotadigital.com/. They are a bit pricey - but designed to endure the rigors of vibration and elements on a bike. They also look good.

That is EXACTLY what I was lookin for...cool!! I think I'm gonna just replace the tach cable for this season and during them long winter months, I'll order one of those guages and get that on there for next spring O0

Have you actually purchased one yourself? Will they work with a metric bike like my 82 Suzuki?

Nope - haven't purchased one myself, but I know a few people who have. They seem to work quite well and got some good reviews in magazines a year or so ago. They are out of South Dakota - so not too far from us all things considered. Give them a shout to make sure they have what you want for your year/make of bike.
