Tear down and rebuild 3 Years, 4 Months ago
A couple of posts recently got me wondering who here has ever done a complete tear down and rebuild of a bike. I've done one, years ago, and quite a few partials, and continue to dabble a bit with repairs and enhancements. This might be of interest to people looking for help on various repairs.

Anyway, thought I'd throw it out as a discussion item.

I tore down a 1984 Honda Interceptor VF1000F three years ago.

It did not need anything engine wise, but it had been dropped. needed some structural work and welding, as well as a LOT of body work. Eventually turned out to be a beeeeeeauuuutiful yellow paintjob and custom decals. Really looked good for its age.

Hard work, but had a lot of fun with that bike

This winter I will be tearing down the TLR to a billion pieces and redoing it as well. Custom paint and a bunch of custom parts, unless I can find a hayabusa before then

Make sure you add a turbo and nitrous to that 'busa. :eeksmilie: They are a pretty slow ride until you kick them up a notch or two.

Seriously, sounds like fun. Good luck with the rebuild.

you arent fall off with the turbo idea. That is in the plans. After owning a talon for two years I have gained QUITE a bit of knowledge in how to fix turbos lol.

But I wouldnt call them a dog from factory though, they can giddyup and move!!!
