Moose Jaw , wakamow valley and others 3 Months, 3 Weeks ago
I was out for a ride on may 18th 2008 and snappped a few pics in and around Moose jaw on May 18th 2008. Here is the link to view, http://picasaweb.google.ca/friesman1/MooseJawMay18_08

Its not as green as it should be because of the cool spring, but its still a nice ride from Regina.

my pics are actually set up in reverse, I started taking them at one of the deepest roads in the valley and then rode back out.
When going to MJ take the Manitoba exprssway off the transcanada to 1st ave southwest, hang a left on it for a couple blocks then take the left into the Wakamow Valley park on Maple St. East (some places say River drive, so who really knows?) (Theres a KFC at the intersction if you want a landmark.)From there I just wandered thru the valley, its a great drive, but some of the roads turn to gravel quite a way in, but they are all smooth and well maintained, not a lot of loose crud, just dusty).
Its one of the few rides where you get a couple of bridges, trees, river and camping within an hours drive of Regina. Crescent Park is in the center of MJ a half block north and across the street from the Temple Gardens mineral spa.
If anyone wants to ride to MJ or actually anywhere within an hours ride on a nice day send me a message, I usually can work it into my day,,,unless I am working..

Those are very nice pictures, I have been there many times. If you ever get the chance, get a burger from the Burger Cabin they are great. My wife used to live a few blocks from there and we went down there many times.
