So, after new tires on my wife&#039;s FJ600, I took er for a good rip tonight and it&#039;s not a bad bike at all.<br /><br />One thing I did notice was that when I went to check my watch while riding, I took my hands off the controls for a second or two and noticed a slight wobble.&nbsp; I assumed it might have just been a blemish in the road (in regina, I know it&#039;s uncommon) but when I took my hands off again, it did the same thing, slight wobble.<br /><br />It only seems to do it at lower speeds but then I don&#039;t really wanna try it going too fast or I may just have a tank slapper on my hands.<br /><br />Anyhow, any ideas on possible causes of this ???<br /><br />Thanks.

Is it this bike or the Suzuki that you need to change the fork seals in? If it is this one, having one fork low on oil may cause a problem. And would most likely be the easiest problem to fix. Another possibility could be a bad bearing in the steering head ???

I had this similar problem with my bike,&nbsp; my steering head was loose,&nbsp; tightened it up and all was well.&nbsp; Another cause can be tires,&nbsp; your front tire may be out of balance or have a blem.

I&#039;m starting to think it&#039;s out of balance.&nbsp; I just got a new one put on at a shop and ever since then it&#039;s shaking the front end above *cough* 160 kms/h.&nbsp; Of course, I never go over 160 but it sure does vibrate if I were to. <br /><br />I&#039;m taking it back to the shop tomorrow morning to get &#039;er rebalanced and we&#039;ll see if that cures the wobble as well.

I&#039;d try that too,&nbsp; hope that is all it is, but even if it is the steering head, the bearing isnt very expensive, its the labour of taking it apart.&nbsp; Especially when I did mine, I had to take the fairing and all the electronics (stereo, cb, intercom, etc.) off before removing the forks and triple trees.&nbsp; Luckily I have a good friend who knows bikes inside out and is always willing to help.&nbsp; :helpsmilie:<br />It is very smooth now, except I know what you mean about limits.&nbsp; On my bike I have found that if I were to go about 190km/h say,&nbsp; I would have to have both&nbsp; hands on the bars or else it would start to have a slight wobble. :eeksmilie:,&nbsp; but I am pretty sure that is do to my bar end tassles wipping in the wind. unksmilie:<br />Good luck with your tire, let us know how ya make out

Are there a lot of occaissions when at 190 km/h you feel like riding with 1 hand or less? I usually find my self holding on rather tight at that kind of speed.

hey at 190km/h the ol&#039;venture is just settlin in to a nice cruisin groove cootersmilie:.&nbsp; lol&nbsp; But seriously,&nbsp; if something were to jump out in front of you or whatever at that speed, would it really matter if you had 2 hands, 1 hand, or no hands on the bars. :oopssmilie:&nbsp; :helpsmilie:<br />Hey Kevin, if balancing the tire didnt work, then you might want to check the steering head bearing, it may just be a bit loose or it may be scored and need to be replaced.

One other thing to consider - rear wheels can also cause a front end shake.&nbsp; Make sure you check the rear wheel for balance, trueness and alignment.
