Plateing a Bike 1 Year, 7 Months ago
I have a 2006 XR 650R that i want to plate. This bike comes from the factory as off-road only, but I want to change the title to Dual Purpose. I have purchased a kit that includes, a hi/low headlight, front and rear turn signals, a rear tailight, brake light switches, and a horn. After I install this kit how do I go about getting the title changed? Do i get the Police to come inspect it? Does SGI have a process? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'll answer my own questions. I just talked to the RCMP. It appears that you get a Motorcycle Inspection form from SGI, set up an appointment to have a Mountie verify the road going equipment, and VIN numbers on the bike, and they stamp the form. That's all there is to it.
