Re:Drivers test 5 Months, 4 Weeks ago
Nervous?

Mine's on Thursday and I've been riding a ton lately. I stopped by the cal de sac this morning to have a look and I'm not sure if we are suppose to go inside the ST property, there's a "No Trespassing" sign there ??

Don't forget to stop when you're suppose to and remember to shoulder check, I hear they try and get between you and the curb on a right hand turn...

Nah, I've been riding so long on a learners I should pass LOL
Thanks for the heads up. I have been riding very little lately, but shouldn't be a worry.

Re:Drivers test 5 Months, 4 Weeks ago
geez things change when i did my mc test 20 odd years ago I was told that my right hand should hold the brake on at all time while stopped. I work with one of the guys who teaches the course here in Regina and he has been real good about updating me. Also i bought the dvd Ride like a Pro, it has some great tips about handling big bikes and how to practice slow movements like parking lots, slow turns and uturns inside a small radius.
IF you want to borrow it if youre in regina email me or return the message in here.

Brian

Re:Drivers test 5 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Well, short but sweet. Took all of about 10 minutes at most, I got a couple of points deducted for my "bad habits" and Bob's yer uncle.
City park is very nice this time of year.
So went and got the license updated and drove down to the weir and had a celebratory shmoke and no pancake.

The follower I got was a rider himself and when I questioned him about the silly no-hands at lights thing he told me "do whatever you like".
My only issue was the ear-piece was a left ear only and I am legally deaf in that ear, but I told him and he was loud enough that I caught enough not to get myself in poo.

Just in time to teach the wife the basics and hand over my bike But I hear Kevin has a bunch of extras so I am moving to the regina, me and a few flats

I'm doing a reno for a guy who took his in 1972 and he drove around tires and posts in the ground... once.
That video and/or the book is supposed to be totally worth buying. I have heard the book is now out of print, or soon shall be but you can still order it from Mcnally Robinson.

If you wanna rebuild my 1100 for me, I'll even let you have the first ride for your troubles (limited to under 25 kms ). That and a couple cases of beer along the way of course.

Ride at night without worry?
Ive always worried riding at night, esp Friday and Sat nights. It just seems you have to be so much more alert and on top of things at night that I dont enjoy the night rides nearly as much as daytime.
