2nd Annual Auto Show Saskatchewan 2007 Details

It's been said that all Business is Show Business. The better you are at showing your customers what your business can do for them, the better your business will be! The Saskatchewan Auto Dealers Association (SADA) is staging Auto Show Saskatchewan 2007 in April 2007 to help the Saskatchewan Auto Dealers show consumers their vehicles like never before! In addition, SADA wants to take this opportunity to use this event to create a more positive image of our industry and its dealer members to the consumer.

The Auto Show will feature all automobile manufacturers who sell vehicles in Saskatchewan , dozens of brand new vehicles and even conceptual vehicles! In addition to new vehicles, there is special entertainment and activities for the whole family - including Boyd Coddington, of american Hot Rod fame, as our Special Guest Attraction, a "Kids Zone", a remote control race car track, Nascar 24, vintage vehicles, exotic vehicles, and much more!

The Gala will include our media preview; live and silent auction items will be auctioned off to go toward our Charity.

Our feature Live Auction Item will be a Trip for 2 to the Indianapolis 500 Race in May, sponsored by ADESA Saskatchewan.

Special Attractions & Features:

1) Boyd & Jo Coddington, Special Feature Guests of american Hot Rod television show - willl be at the event Friday, Saturday and Sunday - autograph sessions, Q & A sessions, and featuring a Coddington Charity Raffle, sponsored by Cherry Insurance, with first prize being a set of custom Coddington Rims. Also, a special feature will be a "Breakfast with Boyd" promotion on Saturday morning, April 21. The promotion will be run by Rawlco Radio.

2) McDonald's Kid Zone - featuring activities for kids - play structures, face painting, crafts, colouring, and much more - sponsored by McDonald's Restaurants of Canada.

3) Vintage Vehicle Display - 7 to 10 vehicles will be on display, featuring vehicles from the Draggin's Car Club, Saskatoon , SK - www.draggins.com.

4) Exotic Vehicle Display - 5 to 6 vehicles will be on display - 3 confirmed to date coming from Weissach in BC - 2007 Lamborghini Gallardo Coupe, 2007 Lotus Elise, 2007 Lotus Exige (first year in Canada ).

7) Nascar 24 - one of the actual race cars that Jeff Gordon has used to race will be on display.

8) "Mark Your Manufacturer" - patrons can participate by showing us what their favourite make of vehicle is. This will be a visual tracking of manufacturers throughout the 3 days of the show, sponsored by C6 Safety Assoc.

9) Four Interactive PS2 Gaming Stations throughout the venue where patrons can play their favourite car racing video game.

10) Ultimate Putting Challenge for Charity - patrons can pay $5 for 5 putts for a chance to win $100,000 towards a vehicle of the patrons choice (vehicle must be from a SADA Dealer Member), as well as smaller prize packages - sponsored by EPA Ultimate Concepts.

11) SarCar - the Saskatoon Remote Control Club - www.sarcarclub.com - has their remote control track set up, as well as their RC car displays. Learn about this hobby and learn to race these mini racers.

12) Saskatoon Sports Car Club - www.ssccracing.org - an outdoor display and demonstration of proper driving skills, controlled speed racing, and Ride-A-Longs for charity.

13) Auto Show Door Prize - patrons are invited to enter, free of charge, to win a variety of door prize items.

14) People's Choice Award - ballots will be distributed to patrons as they enter the Auto Show to mark down their favourite new car of the Auto Show. The ballots will be continuously counted and the People's Choice will be tracked throughout the event. At 5 p.m. on the final day of the Auto Show, a People's Choice plaque will be presented to the manufacturer of the most popular vehicle of the Show.
